This was my MBA class in the Dominican Republic in 2010. We went for a week to work with the MLB to provide some solutions that the nation was currently facing. This was not an easy trip for me but it was also hard on my colleagues to see first-hand the extreme poverty. We were able to visit different parts of the country, including a village where we brought baseball items and played a game with the local kids. ❤️ I was asked to help capture what my friend Tim is doing with @homes_for_good in Arizona and I felt particularly connected to their April initiative @strikingoutpoverty Tim is donating $1 for ever person who comes through his open houses this month. ❤️ If I’m honest, I haven’t done anything since that trip to give back to the DR. That’s something I’d like to change so this month I decided to help and donate as well. Since I don’t do open houses I’ve decided that I will donate $1 for every like this post gets. We will tally at the end of April and I’ll make my donation ⚾️ You guys can get involved as well! There are many players around the league getting involved so I will continue to share ways and links all month! #strikingoutpoverty #food4thehungry #EndingPovertyTogether #beisbollife #DominicanRepublic #baseballforlife #baseballforgood #BiggerThanBaseball #homesforgood #blogsforgood from FB-RSS feed for Faisi Khan https://www.facebook.com/thesportsbrats/photos/a.1381478755234402.1073741829.357463964302558/1594618887253720/?type=3 Via https://thesportsbrat.tumblr.com/post/172411381479
